At WTL, we recognize that the longevity of semiconductor products and supply stability are critical to your business continuity; these are core priorities for us.The typical life cycle of WTL standard products is 10 to 15 years, with a preference for further extension to meet the long-term stable supply needs of various customers.We fulfill our commitment to product life cycles through systematic strategic planning and internal management systems
Product Longevity Strategy
To ensure a product life of no less than ten years, we have built a flexible and forward-looking inventory and manufacturing system:
- Inventory Management: We implement dynamic inventory management for catalog and standard products based on precise demand forecasting mechanisms to ensure timely and stable supply responses
- Manufacturing Capability: Leveraging our own manufacturing bases in mainland China and a diverse network of external partners, we have built highly flexible manufacturing capabilities for long-term, reliable delivery.
Standard Product Life Cycle Management Policy
According to internal policy guidelines, WTL standard products will not be phased out if they meet any of the following conditions:
- There has been a sales record within the past five years (this period extends to seven years for automotive or high-reliability products).
- The product maintains production capacity and has been in production for less than ten years.
- There is currently clear customer demand.
These criteria ensure that obsolescence decisions are based on clear evidence, preventing the premature termination of supply for the sake of operational convenience.
Product Status Classification and Decision Support
To assist customers in making informed decisions during product selection, we assign the following status labels to every product model:

| Preview | Prototype or experimental products available for sale but not yet in mass production.Adjustments may occur based on engineering verification results. |
| Active | Product is officially launched and available for order.Some models may have updated replacement options. |
| NRND (Not Recommended for New Design) | Suitable for existing designs but not recommended for new ones; priority should be given to alternative solutions. |
| Last Time Buy | Product is in the phase-out stage; new designs should use replacement products. |
| Obsolete | Production has ceased; new designs should utilize alternative products. |
WTL only marks products as NRND in rare circumstances, typically limited to specific issues affecting product quality or long-term production capacity, to maximize product continuity for customers.
Product Change Notification (PCN)
WTL focuses on continuous improvement strategies and may need to modify, update, or discontinue products or manufacturing processes after they are launched.We adhere to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) timeliness requirements to inform customers of major changes affecting form, fit, function, quality, or reliability.
Before implementing any mandatory notifications, WTL provides the following:
- Detailed description and reason for change
- PCN tracking number and affected product identification
- WTL contact information
- Expected impact (positive/negative) on fit, form, function, quality, and reliability
- Impact on qualification plans/results and sample availability dates
- Estimated production shipment date
Product Withdrawal and Discontinuation
WTL’s discontinuation process follows SOPs to avoid phasing out products solely for convenience.Our standard timeline offers longer lead times than the industry average:
- Last Order Period: Up to 12 months from notification.
- Final Delivery: Up to 6 months after the order period ends.
In rare cases where an accelerated timeline is necessary, we will communicate the Last Time Buy and final shipment dates directly with affected customers.
